Employee Insights: Meet Mathias Hjelseth & Kenneth Sørli Eriksen

At Marketer, our sales team plays a crucial role in bringing our cutting-edge solutions to the real estate industry. In this edition of Employee Insights, we are introducing two key members of our sales team - Mathias Hjelseth and Kenneth Sørli Eriksen! With their passion for Proptech and experience in sales, they are at the forefront of helping developers and real estate companies adopt smarter, data-driven sales- and marketing strategies.

Mathias Hjelseth, Sales Manager at Marketer

Tell us a bit about your background!

I’ve always been passionate about sales and business development, especially in the intersection of technology and real estate. Before joining Marketer, I worked at Defigo, where I was responsible for some of the largest real estate players in Norway, driving sales strategies and long-term partnerships. Prior to that, I was part of the team at Wec360°, where I contributed to growing the company’s presence in Norway and worked closely with property developers on digital sales and marketing solutions.

Why Proptech?

The real estate industry is undergoing a major shift, and proptech is playing a key role in making processes smarter, more efficient, and data-driven. I find it exciting to be part of this transformation—helping developers and real estate companies leverage technology to streamline sales, optimize decision-making, and create better customer experiences. There’s so much potential in how proptech can shape the future of the industry, and I look forward to driving that change alongside our clients.

Mathias Hjelseth, Sales Manager at Marketer

What do you look forward to in your role as a Sales Manager?

I’m excited about scaling Marketer’s presence in the Nordic market and working closely with developers to help them sell smarter. Sales, for me, is about creating value—understanding a client’s needs, identifying the right solutions, and delivering measurable results. Marketer has a strong product and a talented team, so I’m looking forward to optimizing our sales approach, leveraging data-driven insights, and driving growth in both existing and new markets.

What has your experience been like working with the team at Marketer so far?

It’s been great! From day one, I’ve been genuinely impressed by the level of knowledge and expertise across the team. There’s a strong mix of ambition, innovation, and deep industry insight, which creates an exciting environment to be part of. Everyone is focused on delivering value to clients while also being open to testing and iterating on new strategies. There’s a lot of potential for growth, and I’m looking forward to seeing how we can take things to the next level together.

Kenneth Sørli Eriksen, Account Executive at Marketer

Tell us a bit about your background!

My first job was actually as an ice hockey player, dreaming of international adventures. At 22, I shifted gears and earned a Bachelor’s in Retail Management from Handelshøyskolen BI, diving into sales for nearly four years at a call center where I built strong client engagement skills. An inspiring encounter with a Proptech founder led me to Unite Living, where I managed sales and cultivated key client and partner relationships, growing us to the preferred platform for some of Norway's biggest landlords. I then advanced my expertise at Apex IT, the acquirer of Unite Living, further integrating technology with real estate to deliver innovative solutions to landlords and developers.

Why Proptech?

I am very passionate about innovative tech solutions that actually bring value to people´s lives. I experienced first hand what the right technology can do for both the customers of a Proptech company, but also their customers. This led me to also be a volunteer for Proptech Norway where we strengthen Norwegian real estate industry’s exposure to new technology.

How has the first couple of months been with the team at Marketer?

The first few months at Marketer have been fantastic. I’ve felt right at home thanks to a welcoming team full of people who are always eager to share their wisdom and help out. We also do a lot of social stuff to tie the team together, so I have become comfortable really fast, maybe too fast to some colleagues... Many colleagues have been here for years and I am impressed by their deep insights and expertise in so many different areas. It’s a place where ideas are embraced and support is never far away, and I’m excited for our next steps in continuing to drive the Proptech space forward.

What do you enjoy the most about working as an account executive at Marketer?

What I enjoy most is the perfect blend of sales and technology at Marketer. Because of our great tech team I feel more like an educator — helping clients unlock the potential of innovative solutions within digital sales and marketing with data-driven results. I love that our team is passionate about delivering real value, to what actually works, and always pushing the envelope of what is possible in Proptech. Working in the fast-changing "40% Industry" of real estate, with the tech sandbox here in Norway, and clever decision makers who welcome new technology and want to be a part of the change, enables us to take the stage for global innovation.

Marketer is ahead of the curve. With analytics on all that we do, machine learning, AI, proactive advice and everything Real Estate developers and brokers need to get ahead of the competition and meet the demands of the new generation and market - all over the world. And with Marketer, I want to take us to the next level.
